I’ve no idea what this lovely, tiny man’s real name was, but he was known to all his customers as Tom Thumb. I mentioned to Tom that I’d like to buy some flowers from him as a thank you for allowing me to take his picture, but I wouldn’t have any use for them. He asked for a pack of cigarettes instead.
