GIRL TALK, The French Quarter, New Orleans 1992.

This simple shot of two girls talking in a doorway always seemed an antidote to all that mayhem that I encountered during those balmy, memorable summer nights in the French Quarter of New Orleans. I particularly like the way the door frame gives the girls a sense of isolation and solitude from all that was going around them – drunkards, drug users, drug dealers, hookers, pimps, muggers and a Pontefract photographer who had no particular place to go.
