CHICAGO BULLS FANS, Chicago, 1991.

In the annals of NBA history, few seasons are as iconic and transformative as the Chicago Bulls’ 1990–1991 campaign. Led by the incomparable Michael Jordan and the tactical brilliance of coach Phil Jackson, the Bulls’ journey to their first NBA Championship marked the beginning of a basketball dynasty that would forever change the landscape of the league.

In the NBA Finals, the Bulls faced the Los Angeles Lakers, led by the legendary Magic Johnson. The Bulls emerged victorious, clinching the championship in a five-game series. Michael Jordan’s dominance was on full display, earning him the Finals MVP as he averaged an astounding 31.2 points per game.

The Chicago Bulls’ 1991 season stands as a defining chapter in the history of the NBA ensuring that the 1991 Bulls will forever hold a special place in the hearts of fans around the world.

Dave Foster and I watch the final game in LA with our friends Vince and Felicity in a crowded bar in Chicago. When the Bulls win the championship the whole town goes berserk. People celebrate long into the night and throughout the day after.

A few days later, the victorious Bulls are given a rapturous heroes welcome in a packed Grant Park where Michael Jordan announces his retirement.

After three days celebrating Foster and myself feel like retiring as well.
